Pollard pleaded guilty in a plea bargain which the Judge ignored due to a submission by Casper Weinberger. Weinberger's "secret memorandum" convinced the Judge of the "irreperable" damage of the information passed on to the Soviets. But, it wasn't Pollard who passed that info but Aldrich Ames who in turn set up Weinberger to deflect suspicion from himself.
Because Pollard pleaded guilty there was no evidence ever presented as to what he actually did. The charge against him did not included anything in regard to the Soviets so your statement is pure conjecture. See HERE
