Another Larry Kudlow gem (Report at tail end of Kudlow/Kramer).
CNBC ^ | July 23, 2002 | Larry Kudlow

Posted on 07/24/2002 5:44:48 AM PDT by section9

At the tail end of Kudlow and Kramer, Larry Kudlow ripped a story off the wire services about Iraq. Kudlow reported that Condoleezza Rice had told the French that we would invade Iraq and that operations would commence prior to the November elections.

I'm not sure whether he got the story off Reuters or AFP.

If this story has a grain of truth to it, which it probably does, as the French would leak this in a heartbeat, then the attack could take place sooner than we think. As early as September, perhaps.

Kudlow looked like a happy man when he was reading this.

I'm happy, too.

Of course, it could be the carryover from the good news about William Pierce (the neo-Nazi creep) kicking the bucket...

Nah. I just hope Saddam joins Pierce in a very hot locale soon.

I didn't hear this. What I did hear was this.

Larry Kudlow of CNBC Reporting of Emergency Federal Reserve Meeting Tonight

But he stipulated that it was a rumor he had heard.

Maybe just a ratings ploy.

Haha! I love Larry Kudlow. He's a great economist and the kind of guy who doesn't put up with nonsense, which is why he was probably happy: Saddam's nonsense would soon be over.

I heard that report too, of course. The Condi story came at the very end of the broadcast.

Politically, it would happen in August or September. October would be "out" because of "wag the dog" accusations by the opposition that close to the elections.

Let's all be happy!

Of course, it could be the carryover from the good news about William Pierce (the neo-Nazi creep) kicking the bucket...

Wasn't that a piece of good news. The "Day of the Rope" indeed! I hope that the hateful little motherf%#ker is getting his right now. I suspect that he's being cornholed by Beelzebub as we speak.

Of course, being a Neo-Nazi, he is probably enjoying every minute of it. People who go to meetings, scream "white power" at the top of their lungs, wear Sam Brown belts, jackboots, and have that hint of brown in their wardrobes are usually flaming queers. Closeted, yes, but flaming nonetheless.

Remember, Ernst Roehm was found in bed with one of his "subordinates".

Nah. I just hope Saddam joins Pierce in a very hot locale soon.

Oh, not to worry. Things are being arranged in this regard.

Chris

Um, if it's going to be August, shouldn't we be pre-positioning troops and all of that, you know, like logistical stuff?

I'm looking for September to be a very interesting month. Indeed, mobilizations are already underway.

And on McLaughlin Sunday he touched on October as a probable "GO" date, and mentioned US Special Forces were (probably) already on the ground in Iraq.
(His sources are a hell of a lot closer than mine.)
But I don't think this is anything that Iraq doesn't already know, it's the particulars that are fuzzy, and that makes all the difference.
Man, everytime they spot one of our aircraft enforcing the "no fly zone", they must jump out of thier skins, not knowing if this is the edge of "The Assault".

"...shouldn't we be pre-positioning troops and all of that..."

Maybe we are, but just being VERY quiet about it, much equipment is already there, and if they've been building up slowly since October...
In any event, who knew of Operation Overlord, (much more massive than "Desert Storm") before June 6, 1944?

Mid October sounds fine - earlier, it is still too hot. Also, wag the dog accusations won't work with this president, not after 9/11.

That might work out OK for the GOP. To use that line of attack, the Dems would have to position themselves as opposed to the war, or only tepidly in favor of it. Let em try. For one, the polls consistently say Americans favor a proactive approach to Iraq. Second, I suspect Americans would like to see some action, having been deprived the satisfaction of seeing Osama's head on a platter. Maybe that is not the most honorable rationale for support, but I suspect it is there. Let the Dems fight the Americans if they want.

Uh, they have been re-positioning military positions for over a year--they just aren't headlining the movements.

The only question:

Is Osama already there, or is he on the way there?
