Two small boys made a grisly discovery in their Jersey City home yesterday - their mom, pregnant aunt and grandmother savagely stabbed to death in a domestic dispute, according to police, that was fueled by what kin called a religious feud between the aunt and her husband.

The police have been looking for Marlyn's husband since yesterday, without success. The revelation that Marlyn had converted to Islam, and that she and her husband were arguing about the future religious education of the twins she was carrying, came out during the evening news yesterday.

There were confusing accounts from neighbors yesterday, but I am now comfortable taking the grandfather at his word about the religious nature of this "domestic dispute".

How horrendous. Looks like he wanted his children to be raised in the, uh, "Religion of Peace", and then he set out to prove just how peaceful that religion is. I hope he is caught and charged with five murders, not three.

The women were last seen alive Tuesday morning, according to both husbands. The grandfather was a bus driver. The boys' father was a manager at a Duane Reade. Both must have left for work early in the morning, because all three women were dead by seven a.m.

The husband of the mother-to-be was the only one who didn't show up for work yesterday.

The entire family is Hindu, except for Alim, who's a devout Muslim, they said.

I'm confused. Aren't Andrew, Christopher and Bernadette Christian names?

First thing I thought of was "did he find out the twins were girls?" You'll notice that the boys were spared.

In the other articles it states the family were Guyanese immigrants. I haven't a clue about naming traditions there.

They can't help it - either we keep them out or we learn to accept them for who they are.

Being Muslims, these men will twist and turn, lie, cheat, and try their best to evade punishment for their crimes.

To poster below, you are quite right, these people are Christianized or Americanized Hindus, I doubt they really worshipped the Hindu gods or went to any temples like that.

BTW the first definition in the dictionary for "Hindu" is :

1. A native or inhabitant of INDIA.

I often see readers confused by its correct use, as here, to mean just that without any reference to their religious faith or lack of it.

What this family needed was Jesus Christ. If they had had Him, they would all be alive today.

I'm thinking "sleeper gone nuts", frankly. I can't imagine why it would be such a bone of contention NOW, while the wife was converting and the twins weren't even born, unless he knew he wouldn't "be around" to see to their religious upbringing himself.

Hope he doesn't have other plans for this area, while he's on the lam...
