Most likely there was a federal grant behind this that brought in a lot of money.

Designing a database is easy, keeping it up to date and useful is another story. How effective do you suppose this will be??????????

Tough. It isn't that hard. The tech sector is depressed right now, it's a good time to get this type of work done.

Get with the program, Academe. We're at war here, and this is minimal.

Given how difficult it is for even good US students to get into good colleges, and given how difficult it's been for new grads to find good jobs (too much competition from foreign students getting green cards), I think it's time to *end* the student visa program for a time.
