This is sad news on a day where 2 other young women were found safe and sound out in California. Melissa Chamberlain, 21, of Bucks County, PA, was found dead today in Trappe, Md. Her body was found 25 yards off U.S. Route 50 in a wooded area.
During a press conference involving FBI and local official in PA, it was announced that John Passmore, the former boyfriend of Ms. Chamberlain, had lead authorities to the body. She was most likely killed on July 15 or 16, according to authorities.
Authorities are in negotiations with Passmore to arrange a confession, and for him to possibly avoid the death penality.

This is such a sad story. This was a beautiful young woman whose life was tragically cut short. I hope her killer is locked away for the rest of his life, at the very least, so justice can be brought in this case.

I hope he's locked away for a short time period and then strapped to a gurney.

Melissa Chamberlain, and her killer, John Passmore.
(I apologize if anyone is offended for posting a picture of the two side by side. It's the only descent picture of them I could find online)

Yes, PA has the death penality. However, like in most other states, it is notoriously slow in getting carried out. Take the case of cop-killer Mumia Abu-Jamal (aka Wesley Cook)...

He has already copped a plea. He revealed the location of the body in order to escape the death penalty. I hope they find a way to renig on it though.

Does PA have the death penalty? Since the body was found in MD, federal kidnap/murder laws probably apply

What's with these friggin' boyfriends, killing their girlfriends/ex girlfriends lately? It's seeming to be more commonplace. Scary.

No need to apologize - if he was her former boyfriend, she shouldn't mind being associated with him.

People are not designed to be used for another's pleasure and discarded (This is well covered in Genesis and Exodus).
Our experiment in defying our Creator is ending the way all such previous experiments have ended.

Having once been a cop, and having to deal with murderers, I have a theory on how a "life w/o parole" should be dealt with. Once sentenced, the inmate should be placed in a cell alone.
All meals should be delivered to the cell, and if the bad boy does not slide the dirty dish out, no more food deliveries till he does. The cell door is not opened during his lifetime, nor after till his body bloats up and stinks.
Never allow him to be close enough to harm another human being. While working a cell block containing the "onion field" killers, Smith and Powell in 1969 while they were appealing their death sentence, their attorney tried to smuggle a gun into them. I'd have been their first target.

Our experiment in defying our Creator is ending the way all such previous experiments have ended. Disasterously (not sure if that is even a word..but you know what I mean) Roman empire.. Soddom and Gommorah.. and on and on....
