Other possible triggers include high blood pressure, smoking and lingering low-level infections, such as chronic gum disease.

The best thing I have found for gum disease is CoQ10- 75mg everyday, and no more inflamed gums. Only takes a week or less until the bleeding stops. Also it's suppose to be good for your heart.

Yes, and the statin drugs, which many people take for high cholesterol, cause a reduction in the body's own Co-enzyme Q10.
