I'm for it.

Effort=Time, Time=Monies.

Would have to check with the lawyer's though, for the big kahuna to make compensations from the posts (thanks to LAT/WP)

No reason in this world Jim should not make a buck on his idea. Count me in.

How do you put a value on a 24-hour babysitting service.

I'm not sure we could afford him....

So, what's so different about FR? Why should FR be exempt from these rewards?

As long as he is honest and up front about it. I am more than a little troubled by these FR fundraisers that don't bother to mention that they are raising money for PAID EMPLOYEES, NOT VOLUNTEERS!!!

You don't want to become a fraud and a hypocrite like Bill Moyers, who has made tens [if not hundreds] of millions of dollars off the ostensibly "non-profit" Corporation for Public Broadcasting.

If you want FR to continue, either keep donating or keep whining so that Jim will have to go to a paid subscription model and watch FR disappear from the Internet.

Ooops. That is, apparently, what the dirtbag anti-Freepers want anyway - FR to disappear. I say ignore them.

Doesn't he get a salary from the quarterly fund raisers?
I, for one, do not go to Drudge or Lucy sites because of all the 'pop-ups"
Is that what you are thinking of?

That's the way I see it..

Rush Limbaugh isn't a charity.. Sean Hannity likewise..

Hey, why is FR supposed to the exception?

Anti-freepers, however aren't as principled.

They're not conservative, then. Many on this site confuse populism for conservatism.

Jim Robinson has the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

I am always happy to respond to the call for donations.

My great-to-the-fifth grandfather was with the Continental Army at Ft. Pitt as early as 1774, and joined in telling King George III not to interfere.

And the hits just keep on coming. . . .

Forgot to mention, the only reason I go to work every day is that "they" give me money a couple of times a month.

I think a better question would be how he can make a profit without compromising his goals.

Some helpful suggestions would be better than a brawl.

Personally, I'll be delighted if JimRob makes millions.

The rest of us should be delighted too. That would be the best proof of the success of this forum.

Would you oppose or favor Mr. Robinson making a profit from FR.

If he wants to,

and if he can do so legally,

he should go for it.

It's really none of my business though. I just visit here and I appreciate the service provided here. It's up to him.

I have no objuection to it- if he can find a way to make this profitable for himself it is incentive for my FAVORITE (and pretty much only) news forum to stick around- YOU GO JIM!!

I suggest going public and/or trying to get a TV network deal with FOX

Uh, I believe there is a legal problem with making money by reprinting articles and such.

Besides, whose whining?
