Although you keep on claiming that you are against child pornography - your arguments are sure promoting it. Why play devil's advocate? What do you gain by that?

Child pornography is child abuse period. A child is trained by an adult. To use a child for sex ruins the sexual life of that child in the future. It is an abuse and no amount of rationalization changes that.

Just why are people needing to seek deviant forms of sex? Why are they no longer turned on by the normal heterosexual experiences and want to move to something different?

Whether they want to justify it or not, they need to look at what has happened to their own sex drive that makes them want deviant activities? While they are working on this area - I claim that they need to leave the children of this society alone as children are not sex toys.

I think that you're actually getting at something for which I'd asked earler: a reason for criticizing adult-child sex that appeals to more than "it's just wrong". Thank you.

Because this is the next step in the "sexual revolution", I fear. And if we continue along with the old line of "It's wrong, just because it is." then we will be easily trounced by the liberals in this matter.

Two reasons:

I am amazed at how much headway the issue has made in certain circles and how quiet people are on the subject in response. Practices that we find offensive today are on their way to becoming social norms.

I find it better to drag the filth out in the light than sit by and hope people are notcing.

I play that game, too. It's to point out the logical problems associated with taking the "rationalist" approach to things like this. Ultimately, rationalism leads to relativism, because the rationalist can never come up with an argument that bypasses the ultimate requirement to say "because it's wrong."

If there are things that are just plain wrong, their wrongness has to be defined outside the realm of what a rationalist calls reality. I.e., because God said so.

The basic choice boils down to this: you can have God, and right and wrong; or you can have no God, and relativism.
