Funny thing. I thought that when you owned something, and permitted someone else to use that something, they had to follow your rules or lose the use thereof.

I guess that the disgruntled anti-Freepers believe they have the right to say whatever they want, then hide behind the 5th Amendment. Well, I have news for them. "Freedom of speech" means that and only that. You are not free to hijack someone else's property and use it to your own ends.

If you want to whine and moan "unfair", go start your own website. Or go to LibertyPost and wallow in your self-pity. Not many others to cry with, huh? And here we are at FR in our thousands. You must stay up late at night fuming and worrying that Freepers might be HAVING A GOOD TIME! Oh, the horror!

Jim I truly admire your fortitude for dealing with so many people and attitudes that desire your end. Which brings to mind: " Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me. "

You have withstood goliath of the DNC Media carriers in retaining the vision you started with. Only now to contend with prideful individuals that have misused their access to Freerepublic. You would think if it's gotten to the level of crabby, bitchiness it's time to walk away from the keyboard and rethink what's really important.

I've noticed anytime there are supporters wanting you to do well or receive any type of support from FR, there are those who immediately poison the environment with reasons not to support you.

People are not always what they seem to be...the good folks of the SC Chapter learned it the hard way.

I had to learn a lesson from my son when he told me the same thing after the DITHF episode. I really never trusted CAL after that.

Rob, it needs to be pointed out that nothing has been proven concerning this allegation. When the SC Chapter leaders learned of this from the resort, they were told by Commonsense that they had been paid fully and she had the cancelled checks.

I for one certainly hope this proves to be the case, but I'm afraid her 17 prior felony convictions do not reflect well on the FR Networks association with her. Of course, if she has the cancelled checks her past shouldn't be held against her or FR.

Why this is a nothing smear attempt is very simple. What have they accused the above of? Nothing... Yep that is correct nothing.

This site is a threat to the democrats and to power hungry people like Joe and his anti-freaks.........
More attacks will happen all the time to try and stop FR. Most will be liberal attacks which is why we have to keep an eye on the media. I feel there is a connection somewhere between the media and Joe. I just know it. Remember the hannity attack a week ago?

Anyways the other thought is to always attack first against smears and lies. We are good at exposing the smears against the President we should be able to shed light on the attacks from anti-freepers.

I am the founder of my own Dune site. Immediately after 9-11, there were some people wanting to get into some heavy political discussions about what took place (yep, liberals). We had already posted rules stating that there were to be no real-life political or religious discussions on the site. There are other sites for that and we wanted to keep the Dune site from turning into a shouting match. After 9-11, I posted a simple graphic, showing support for the people of NYC, reading "God Bless America." Well, one member claimed that we should take that graphic down because some of her friends, who aren't even members of my Dune site, were offended at college by all the patriotism shown after 9-11. She came on, accusing us of racism, etc. She was promptly banned. A couple more of her ilk began going to other sites claiming that we were practicing censorship. They were banned also. So, you see, those of the liberal persuasion feel that they are doing something special and wonderful by flouting the rules of a site.
