IMO, most of the anti-freeps share one characteristic - they have their own personal agendas, and, since FR turned out to not fully satisfy their agendas, they have decided to turn on FR instead of going out in the big, bad world of the internet and competing fairly in that thar marketplace of ideas

The owners keep insisting it's not, but they have given AFers their own special area where they can go on and on about their hatred for FReerepublic, and where apparently, posting personal, indentifying information about FReepers unpopular with some of their members is allowed (that would never stand here, and with very good reason), and where few comments are too crude and disgusting to be allowed.

In short, that section of the site is a cesspool.

I think it flies in the face of reason to suggest it's not an AFer site. It may not have been originally intended to be (I'm not convinced of that, either), but the AFers have taken the place over. People there without an axe to grind seem to be outnumbered.

CaL is what you might call a "stealth" anti-freeper. It's obvious to those involved she has been feeding them information and apparently a personal confidential document. I understand she and the person who posted it to a public forum barely escaped legal action, this time.

The short story is: She demanded, as she had often before, "her way or the highway" and was shown the onramp.

Clarity was exchanging emails with one of the head AFers, LOTF, for some time. Some people don't take well to rejection. Just remember, clinton charmed half of the country for 8 years. People are not always what they seem to be...the good folks of the SC Chapter learned it the hard way.

People have to go somewhere if they depart here. As for me, I would not make that somewhere a place that spent time trashing FreeRepublic. I don't spend my time trashing their site. I cannot fathom why they would trash us there.

Except for Jim's notices, I ignore Afer sights not even acknowledging that they exist.

I have been here only a little over a year, but I have noticed that a lot of the disruptors will post articles under conservative-sounding handles and will not follow up with replies, once taken to task.

I, too wondered what happened to Clinton's a Liar. She (I believe) was on for a long time and I enjoyed reading her comments. She seemed like one of the main Freepers. Why on earth would she be banned I wonder?

People who attack the President in derogatory terms have to understand they are going to make people angry. This is different from a DISCUSSION of issues, which apparently those of us on the America-The Right Way thread are able to do.

We have a lot of anti-Bush people here who begin their criticisms with inflammatory rhetoric, and then when they are answered by Bush supporters they accuse us of being nasty.
