The New York Times is a little behind the curve on this issue — "The Authority," published by the DC-owned Wildstorm label, features two heroes named Apollo and the Midnighter. They are modeled after Superman and Batman, and recently became a married gay couple. However, the series ended and is now in limbo.

comics repesent the whole society and the people that live in it, it repesents people in a world similar to our own but yet different. tollerance is the key people. or do you want a world where women don't work and are not equal, where black people are regarded as slaves, i think not. we are all human and we all deserve to be treated the same in all walks of life and all mediums.
