If you saw the other thread, you should have seen that I said that my father was in the Air Force when he met my German mom. And lets see, my brother was in the Army, my dad was in nam, his dad and grand father were in WWII and fought the Nazis. I got kin that were at Gettysburg and fought for the United States and killed rebel scum. And you can be proud all you want of your rebel/treasonous relatives - just don't hang any flag higher than old glory.

As for me, lets see, 6 years as a firefighter, and right now trying to get into the Marines. Not that it means anything, but since you brought it up, you said all your family wore a uniform, does that include you?

And if you rebs keep asking, General William Tecumseh Sherman will make a special appearance. I hear he is on the road in the South right now, doing some more redecorating, but I am sure we can find a pic somewhere.....I am glad some of you appreciate his efforts the way I do.

I read your post and I have to admit, I've made a complete 180 degree turn in my opinion of the history of the War Between the States. Thank you. You are right, the Confederates were nothing more than traitorous scum who started the war just to hold black folk down and annoy the hell out of Lincoln. I ,therefore, being about 5 generations removed from that scum, am treasonous rebel scum too. Could be worse I guess, you could have called me a Yankee. Under that same logic, with you being one generation removed German, you don't exactly have the moral highground here. At least all those thousands of loyal American patriots the Confederates killed were armed and could fight back.
