You're absolutely right. The technology is easily available, but I contend that the producers of the show probably like the added controversy.
What's absolutely incredible to me is that there are apparently more than three people even watching this crap! I can't hit the mute button fast enough when the stupid commercials come on advertising it, and can't wait for them to end.

Anyway, you are entitled to your opinion, of course....I feel the same way about ER and Friends....I don't know how more than 3 people in this world could watch either of those shows.
