I'm from California. I know all about Democrat voter fraud here.

Excuse me for jumping in here. I'm from Chicago and the Dems here have long ago mastered voter-fraud. I feel for ya....

22 would indicate different. Wishful thinking? Umm...and I am typing. Not using my mouth to edit text on the screen.

"Barr will be back, in some meaningful way or another."

Did someone say "Drug Czar"?

Argh. I hate that we waste so much money on something that should be regulated instead of banned...

No, it's a sign of Bob Barr being foolish. He moved out of his district to run against another Congressman.

I believe I read somewhere that both Barr and Linder had their districts comingled and redrawn by the democrat state legislature, so they had to run against each other if they both wanted the position, or one would have to step aside. This way, they get a conservative either way, and the denizens of the district get what they (mostly) want.

Stuff it!

Guillermo's got the bone fides on this board.
I don't know who the hell you think you are, but you're picking the wrong fight.

"His integrity, charm, and unbending devotion to conservatism will be missed."

It's just like that old scoreboard outside the Colisium in Rome -

"LIONS 42 - CHRISTIANS 0"

That which you are overlooking is that we are dealing with democrats. Democrats and liberal democrats. All the same in my eyes.

Well thanks. If a comment with Gore's name used instead of Mckinney's on the night of Nov 11, 2000 was posted, do you think it would seem odd, as tho someone was hopeful for a Gore comeback?

No problem! Read 22, tell me how it should be interpreted! And the following remarks? Real good, eh? Bone fides make up for that type of talk? Gotcha.

Too bad about Barr. Wait until the mourning shows get this news ... 10 to 1 they headline, "Clinton impeachment manager goes down to defeat in the new legislative district."

Bob Barr was helped to his defeat by the Libertarian candidate. Carole Ann Rand was advertising against Barr concerning his insane drug warrior position. He particularly had it in for sick people, doing every thing he could to stop any advances for medical use of marijuana.

He was the one responsible for a law that prevented the counting of votes in a D.C. vote on the issue. It took nearly a year for a court to overrule the law and get the votes counted. Medical marijuana won, but then Congress over rode the decision, which they can do in the district.

You RINOs never can get your story straight. The only reason conservative hero and House Clinton Impeachment initiator Bob Barr ran against worthless moderate John Linder because his district was gerrymandered into a liberal Democrap majority district by the Democrap controlled Georgia State Legislature. It is very unlikely that Barr could have won in his redrawn district when so much of his former Republican base in the district was transfered to Linder and elsewhere outside his district. Accordingly, Barr's decision to run against Linder was the best choice for both him and the conservative cause.

Conservative champion Bob Barr's defeat will be long remembered as one of Bill Clinton's and liberaldom's greatest victories and I have little doubt that it was Clinton himself who was behind both the gerrymander of Barr's district forcing him to run elsewhere to stay in Congress and the mass mobilization of the Democraps to vote in the Linder-Barr GOP congressional primary. Such a massive mobilization of liberal Democrap partisans to vote in the GOP primary alone should be a warning sign to real conservatives that Linder is no conservative. The liberals were as focused on defeating conservative hero Bob Barr as conservatives were in defeating liberal wack job Cynthia McKinney. However, the liberal scored far and a way the greatest coup of the evening and have the bragging rights going into the crucial November election.
