RALEIGH, N.C. -- Think the upcoming election would force state legislators to conclude their budget negotiations, adjourn and go home? Think again.
With the Sept. 10 primaries just two weeks away, House and Senate negotiators haven't agreed on the most fundamental of prerequisites for a budget - how much money they have to spend.

Fitzsimon doesn't come across as a hard left-winger on NC Spin. Maybe it's because I'm used to people like Cynthia McKinney, Bernie Sanders, Kennedy etc

Handled properly, this issue has legs and can be used to defeat the tax and spenders

This kind of budget stalemate is going on in many states across the nation.
It's the parasites against the traditional working families.
The parasites have taken more than enough already, but the Democrats are concerned that they are running low on the kind of money they need to buy enough votes to keep their seats safe. Great stuff. Now, let's see what kind of spines the Republicans have.

What I never understand is why does my tax money never come back to me? I dont use the social services! I want my SS money in my own account!
I want Vouchers for my kids schools. I would not mind paying taxes on roads in MY area, a county road tax not state. Sales tax? What is it used for?
I need a NC house rep ands senate to answer these questions????

Preaching to the choir! :)
Does anyone know anything about Munford? (I think his first name is Bob) I waw a campaign ad for him on WRAL this morning. He's running against the tax-and-spenders or so the ad said. Guess I need to do my homework before the primaries in two weeks....I don't even know what district he's running in.

Not enough money???? No problem, raise taxes. Voters are dumb enough to keep returning these professional politicians to office. The pols know this.

BTW on a completely different subject...did you say that Congressman BillyBob was going to be on the Jerry Agar show this week?
To: Overtaxed; Congressman Billybob
I think next week, or the week after.
I owe him an FRmail but haven't had time to get back to him.
If he doesn't see this ping, I will let you know as soon as I find out.
To: Constitution Day
OK....Thanks!
To: Overtaxed
No problem!
I'm getting ready to post the after-meeting thread.
Howlin posted a pic of me & mykdsmom with our tinfoil hats on the "Reminder" thread... too funny!
CD
To: Constitution Day
LOL I saw that. I wonder if I should fix myself a tinfoil hat to wear when I vote in a couple of weeks. Do you think people would stare?
To: Overtaxed
Hee hee! I think they might do more than stare, OT.
