PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP -- Anti-abortion activists have launched a small but vocal movement to excommunicate pro-choice Attorney General Jennifer Granholm from the Roman Catholic Church.

Since early June, a group of 10-30 protesters have picketed outside of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Plymouth Township, where the Democratic nominee for governor is a member. Foes say Granholm is a heretic because she is Catholic yet adamantly pro-choice.

He encourages his guys not to "respond to antagonism" or "return harassment" for then the parishioners would sink to the protester's level and even "further smother a spirit of Peace". Everything will work out though, for they "have a powerful tool at [their] disposal, and that is the power of prayer"

Translated into every day English, this means the union goons this POS crat priest requested to show up and beat up the protesters won't be coming any time soon.

Thus my objection to Fr. Ortman lumping them together, as if they were the same thing: I am against the sin of taking life by acts of abortion, euthanasia, and capital punishment.

Otherwise it follows -- does it not? -- that anyone participating in any lawful execution, does so at the risk of damnation.

Are you going to impose your belief that 2 + 2 = 4 on others?

Well if anyone wants to send me $5 I will be more than happy to send 2 $1 bills and another 2 $1 bills back to them in return. But if they want it the other way around then I'm afraid I will have to impose my beliefs.

That's one of the nice things when you get to define your own truth. Somehow it always comes out to your own benefit. And when sharp scissors aren't aimed at your own skull its much easier to be tolerant of 'choice'.

I think you are confusing me with others on the thread entitled "Jesus Is Pro-Choice Says Priest" (http://freerepublic.com/focus/news/738721/posts):

YOU SAID:

"This is not what the catholic church said when it slammed the door on my sister and her son. We were all going to his baptism and the church kicked us out. They refused to baptize my nephew because my sister said she was pro-choice... They flew a black flag over the church. The Pope sent a letter to my sister condeming her. We baptized my Godson on the front steps of the same church on live television, they then defrocked the priest that did the baptisim. They make me sick!"

I SAID:

"I'd like to read more about this. Will you please provide documentation?"

I believe that the Hell of those who have signed onto abortions---excepting those who have repented and now give their all to fight them---will be very personalized: they will endure whatever they had prenatal babies put through.

after Our Lady of Good Counsel associate pastor the Rev. Doc Ortman wrote an Aug. 4 article in the church bulletin that defended Granholm's right to be pro-choice and Catholic

Hey - there's a big demand from a lot of Catholic priests for letters saying blatant homosexual conduct is OK, from a lot of Catholic husbands saying that adultery's just fine and from a lot of married couples that divorce is no problem. Keep writing them, Rev. Doc Ortman. Your hand is going to be mightily tired.

No, it wouldn't. Passing a law to permit something is not quite the same as actually procuring the thing itself.

Neither is passing a law permitting murder...

You should write a new chapter for Dante's "Inferno". If you get a draft together maybe we'd have some ideas?

Ortman sounds an awful lot like Helen Prejean. I doubt he's ever read the Catechism let alone Evangelium Vitae.
