Oh, and re: errors, sad macs, and bombs: No errors, 1 'can't find the boot volume' (? disk) error (my computer went to sleep, and stayed there; very odd), no bombs.

Various applications have crashed in the X environment, but, as advertised, the System stays up. All you get is a message saying, 'application "whatever" has unexpectedly quit, the rest of your applications are fine (paraphrase)."
