could you please post info on the network connectivity between the Jaguar and Windows networks? I'd be interested in what the communications link is like and underwhat circumstances the Mac User can peruse the harddrives of PC's.

Active Directory and SMB work perfectly and with little or no configuration. NFS, WebDAV and , of course, AppleTalk(IP) work perfectly. I use all these network mounts for my work. They even have a feature that creates ftp conenctions like it was a mounted server -- nice integration into the file system -- they need to add scp to the mix.

OSX has better networking than Windows (thanks to its FreeBSD heritage), and will integrate seamlessly with your Windows systems. We mount bastard filesystems all the time across our networks here and it works great. In truth, I actually prefer the way Unix boxes mount Windows SMB file systems than to the way Windows does it.
