"This could be the big one, Blam!" I don't think so. IMO, it didn't float there and 15,500 feet would be (almost) undoable to haul that much wood, supplies and etc up there.
I've seen pictures of this from the ground. It does look like the ribs of a hull are sticking out over a ledge.
