I would say wrt the election results:
"In their opinion, Gore won the election."
Who knows how many times the ballots had been handled and how many chads had "dropped" out. Only the Devil.
And I must point out again, the most likely cause of the famed "dimpled chad" is from the mechanics of fraud. Ain't it puzzling why the only dimpled chads produced were Gore ballots? They almost got nailed. The upside to this is that they killed the goose that layed the golden chad of doubt. They will have to find a new way to commit fraud as the old way became too visible on the radar screen.
