I'm glad students are waking up to this fact. They aren't as easily led as some people think. A lot of times the liberal indoctrination just doesn't take.

Most students are quite aware of indoctrination efforts, and scorn them. In my sons' Boy Scout troop, kids are respectful of homosexuals, disgusted by homosexuality, and completely scornful of their indoctrination sessions in school. Just about right, in my book.

... but they should be tolerant to all minorities, including gay and lesbian students."

These deviants' pressure groups are diluting the whole concept of what a minority group is. Suddenly we have behavioral minorities, which are supposed to equate to being black, or Asian. Homosexuals are a minority only by virtue of the fact that the vast majority of people do not engage in that evil behavior. It's really ludicrous, and dangerous for legitimate minorities to be associated or equated with evildoers.

I think parents can exert much influence over their children's thinking if they take the time. Problem is, most don't.

Our fifteen-year old has embraced many of our conservative ideals. We have taken the time to tell him our beliefs as well as why we believe the way we do. We offer information from many sources to support our ideas. This has enabled him to successfully "peg" which of his teachers are liberals and conservatives. We've had many interesting discussions while picking apart and ridiculing stupid remarks ( like "socialism has worked quite well for the Europeans, it makes everything more equal" made by his dumba$$ government teacher) made by various teachers. I've been able to gain loads of insight into my child's thinking and am quite proud of direction he's taken. Of course, if we as parents are "not there" it's easy to see how kids can buy into the crap they are fed by the liberal teachers.
