[history]
A Braddock Hills man who was featured in a local Subway sandwiches commercial was cut up in a bar altercation in Swissvale on Sunday.
Jared Checchio, 26, was cut over an eye, on his neck and on a hand, police said. The cuts were made with a box cutter and the injuries were described as serious. Police didn't have a condition report and UPMC Presbyterian does not disclose information about assault victims.

Jared can't be much of a "sandwich aficionado" if he prefers Subway to Primanti Brothers.
Of course, he'd never lose 120 pounds eating at Primanti's, either.

Is that the place on the strip that has the
sandwich with mystery meat, french fries, lettuce
and god know what else inside the sandwich? If
so what is the sandwich called?

It's called a Primanti's sammich. And It can have just about any kind of meat on it you want including (but not limited to) sausage, corned beef, ham and jumbo. And it's cole slaw, not lettuce.

It was a very tasty sammich. I was working in the
Strip District in Pittsburgh and the locals working for
me told Me I had to try one. I just wasn't sure exactly
what I had consumed and didn't want to appear too hickish
so I just ate it and kept my mouth shut.
