Cheney was on top of his game. I hope everyone saw the look on Russert's face when Cheney pulled out that note that quoted Klinton's position on Saddam in 1998 that Saddam should be removed...Russert looked like somone had pulled their pants down...the old deer in the headlights look...Cheney was excellent and Russert was in over his head.        MR. RUSSERT: President Clinton also said he was obsessed with Osama bin Laden. Do you see evidence of that?
VICE PRES. CHENEY: You mean while he was president?
       MR. RUSSERT: Yes, sir.
VICE PRES. CHENEY: Well, you know, I’m sure he was concerned about it. Obviously, I wasn’t part of his administration. I don’t know the extent of which it dominated the thinking. I’m sure that there were many people in the Clinton administration who were concerned about Osama bin Laden.

Oh, man, I love Dick Cheney. That was hilarious.

Cheney was clear, strong and terrific during this interview. So much so that I fired up the VCR and taped the interview when it replayed (way) later that night.
(And, IMO, Timmy boy looked and sounded stupid and partisan.)
