It is anachronistic to call Rachel a Jewess--there were no Jews until later. She wasn't a descendant of Abraham, but rather the great-granddaughter of Abraham's brother (see Genesis 11.26-32, 24.15, 28.5, 29.16). Rachel was the mother of Joseph and Benjamin; the Jews seem to be mainly descended from the tribe of Judah (but to have absorbed remnants of the other tribes--St. Paul, of the tribe of Benjamin, sometimes includes himself in "the Jews"). Judah was one of the sons of Rachel's sister Leah.
