I have mixed feelings about this. Anything that convinces people of the inhuman brutality of terrorists is a good thing. On the other hand, respect for the innate dignity of human beings, including the man whose head this was, argues against it.

It's like Holocaust photos. I can't stomach looking at them. I feel that in some ways they exploit the victims, and I don't feel the need to see them. I saw some of them once, many years ago as a child, and that was enough. But if they have converted some people from knee-jerk anti-semitism, maybe it's justified.

You have to wonder about CNN's motives in not showing this particular picture. Concern for human dignity? Concern not to damage the reputation of their Arab friends? Who knows?

Some People only need to see a pic like that once - or not at all - to understand the nature of evil. Some people (usually democrats who never grew up into adults) need to have there noses rubbed in it before they will understand.
