Sorry, that Bush's ads against McBride gave him a boost isn't "parroted rat BS". I commented on this particular blunder a number of times prior to the primary on September 10th and it was widely discussed in political circles all over the state almost the minute the ads started to run.

In the end McBride will get about the same percentage of both of the Democrats most dependable voting blocks - Jews and Blacks. In 1998, when JEB was obviously going to win and also moved left ("ideologues have no place in my campaign"), he got State Senator Steve Geller (D-Miami Beach) to support him and did, I believe, a little better than normal in the Jewish community.
