It took about six months for Bush to render Arafat irrelevant. It looks like the timescale will be about the same for the UN. What left-wing institution should we turn him on next?

Well, when a nihilist instution plays dead, they automaticaly become irrelevant. It's a great tactic indeed, to combine the cold sword with warm hearted relevance.

What left wing organization should we turn him on next? LOL!!
When we went to the President's Inauguration, my husband kept shaking his head and saying, "How is he possibly going to handle all these immense problems?"
Hubby predicted in 1992 that the terrorists would target the WTC, when I was just sure they'd go for New York City and Washington, D.C. He is also worried, of course, about China and North Korea and some reactionary coming back into power in Russia and the degredation of our country's morals and ideals and will to survive by the constant onslaught and power of the media, and schools and universities controlled by leftists....among other problems on his radar screen.
Really, the U.N. is one of the least of our problems as a country.
With the Education Bill, and other PR efforts, like Pledge across America and T-ball on the White House lawn, W is trying to get a foot in the door of blunting the power of the NEA over the liberal indoctrination of America's children.
The left wing organization I would like him to tame the most, however, is TV news broadcasting (ABC, CNN, NBC, CBS, PBS).

What left-wing institution should we turn him on next? How about Congress?

Let's see, he has returned Russia to Christendom's fold; put the fear of God and of Good into the Peking based gang psychopathological criminal bastards that calls itself "china;" has reduced the un, the plo, the ira, the uk and the various other members states of the EURO-peon Soviet to irrelevance; is about to restore Iraq to democracy, to see the house of Saud to the door and to restore our Arabian Penninsular Oilfield's to their rightful owners -- and has reduced the vast criminal enterprises that pose as what was once the "DemocRATic" potty to a pathetic laughing stock.
Nah. Enough already for this week.
Let him have the weekend off and paint the house at Crawford.

It's probably a hopeless wish, but I would like to see some American president recognize Taiwan as an independant nation.
But that's just me.

As I watched the bull dozers destroy more of Arafat's compound I was thinking of the first time they went in, Arafat was on every news channel giving his side of the story.
Last evening I never saw Arafat, or even a spokesman, given the opportunity to talk about what is happening. (They may in fact been on some program, I just did not see it, and unlike six months ago, it was almost all you saw.)
Arafats days are numbered, I wonder if he even knows it.
