I had some great venison in Fussen once...along with a nice local lager.
I forgot....I like their speedlimits too....i used to always rent Porches and whatnot when I went there on business over 10 years ago.
I remember blowing down the Bahn in the rain between Frankfurt and Bern/Basel CH and some Frenchie in a twin turbo Renault blew past me at around 170 or so. I knew then that we yanks had a bit to learn about driving at excessive speeds...lol

Well, I guess we won't be buying that Mercedes we were interested in...or anything else made in Schroeder's Germany.

Rush foolishly said we should close all our bases in Germany to punish them.
No doubt there is nothing they would like better, and for the very reasons that are now becoming apparent, we ought not to pull our troops out of Germany, not now, not ever. They have started two world wars in the past hundred years.......

Rush is right.
It's about time we let the socialist EU stand or sink under their own weight.
They will sink like a stone.
Let the chips fall where they may. Let the wars begin; I don't really care. In the end, Freedom always wins. Get it over with now.

White House Reacts Coolly to German Apology WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The White House on Friday reacted coolly to German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder's apology for the offense caused by a report that his justice minister had compared President Bush's methods to Hitler's.
"We received a letter," said a spokesman, declining further comment.
The election-eve report in a regional daily angered a U.S. administration already upset about the center-left chancellor's outspoken -- and highly popular -- opposition to a possible U.S.-led war in Iraq.
Justice Minister Herta Daeubler-Gmelin tried to calm the transatlantic dispute on Friday by denying the report she had told a pre-election gathering that, by threatening to attack Iraq, Bush wanted to distract from his domestic political problems, as Adolf Hitler had.
Schroeder wrote to Bush, saying: "I want to let you know how much I regret the fact that alleged comments by the German justice minister have given an impression that has offended you."
"Let me assure you that there is no place at my cabinet table for anyone who makes a connection between the American president and such a criminal," Schroeder said, according to a German text provided by his office.
White House spokesman Ari Fleischer called the remarks "outrageous and inexplicable" and Secretary of State Colin Powell telephoned German Foreign Minister Joschka Fischer to complain.

were we evil, they would remain the sewers that they so deserved to be at the end of ww2.Good point. Were we the norm, they would either be heavilly taxed, or enslaved. Our taxes would be low, because they would be subsidizing us. And we would have occupation troops there to ensure it stays that way. I can't think of any country before WW1 winning a war and just leaving. They always conquered, and then they exploited.
I'm proud that we weren't the norm and still managed to thrive. It seems impossible, but we keep doing it, despite the DNC. Freegards....
