Whatever you do, don't mention the war!

Face it, these two just got caught saying what they really think. That's what's so disgusting, and dangerous.

Hmmmmm, wonder how many are going to be unemployed when the US pulls it's troops from Germany, and finds "other" places to get preferred contracts?

Gee, can you even imagine how much gas is going to cost there in a year or so?

Hoepfully we will see a huge drop in the number of German cars sold in America. A great way to say thank you Germany for you support.

This foul Leftist Mrs. Daeubler-Gmelin indeed did intentionally draw parallels between the GWB Administration and Hitler, presumably because US plans would hurt profitable German business dealings with Saddams WMD industry.

It is a continuing mark of irresponsibility of the German socialists that she is not sacked for it. The Germans, I'm sad to say, whatever their form of government, usually seem to have managed to have a malignant effect on the world outside its borders and Daeubler-Gmelin is following solidly in that tradition.

No, Mrs. whatever Gmelin, it's CLINTON tactic and President Bush doesn't have any " domestic problems " that he has to " WAG THE DOG " to hide / divert attention from, you German swine.

"I would like to assure you that no one has a place at my Cabinet table who makes a connection between the American president and a criminal," he wrote.

A CRIMINAL? That's what they think Hitler was? That's understating it by a long shot.

"I then said that we have known this debate since 'Adolf Nazi.'"

Who? What? Is that like "Al Gangster" instead of "Al Capone"? Exactly what is she smoking?

BTW, I don't feel too much better after that non-apology.

I guess the Germans have forgotten the Berlin Airlift back in 1948 when the U.S. flew in almost 300,000 TONS of food to the starving Berliners.

Just a head's up:

'Zeig heil'- Should be: Sieg Heil! Zeigen is a totally different word (verb- 'to show') and Zeig Heil wouldn't make any sense (to me at least). LOL! This is probably the wrong thread on which to try and be a grammar Nazi! But ve do haf vays of making you speak proper German! ;-)

You know, what I found ironic about this whole affair is- both German candidates are against war with Iraq so in effect, the war in Iraq is not (or in reality should not be) a campaign issue with them. Schroeder has been doing exactly what this woman has accused Dubya of doing- beating on the war theme to distract from domestic German campaign themes.

Why do they even discuss the war? They've both stated they were against German involvement which should have rendered the issue moot- they should only need to discuss unemployment and immigration issues. Obviously Herr Schroeder can think of a whole world full of problems he'd like to talk about before he takes on those issues though.

It's silly; it's like they're arguing about the price of rice in China when there are pertinent issues they need to take on at home.

Time to get our troops out of Germany. This outrageous insult cannot stand. Call your senators and representative and tell that that you want action...

This woman never apologized for the remark and that proves to me that she meant it. Of course apologies are often insincere (a Bill or Hilary Clinton apology would mean nothing) but it would seem to me that if someone truly regretted their remark, they would apologize. This woman claims to be regretful, but still no apology.

I do like Condi's remark about "poisoning" relations between the USA and Germany. She is a rising (conservative) star.

One thing you can depend on as regards leftist/liberals the world over: they lack the conviction to publicly admit to what they really think. This particlar schwartz hund said what was reported, then lied about it. So did GearHard her boss. Fortunately, we have people like W and Condi who will not forgive and forget. I'll never knowingly purchase another item from neo-Nazi land.
