Naw, let him talk. I hope ever nightly newscast carries big clips of this. The more America sees him trying to act in parallel to Bush, the more the myths are deflated and the farther he sinks.
The beauty of all this is the bitter and rabid hardcore RATS may be able to win him the Dem. candidacy in 2004, which would eliminate their chances of winning. Sorta a Reno thing. Though my bet is McCauliflower will be able to steer them to a better candidate with at least a theoretical shot.
Gore has no chance because most Americans now have a good sense of who W is. Thus the old Dem strategy of smearing, lying, and misrepresenting won't work. Without the fear of "I just don't know how bad Republican candidate 'X' might be and I can't take a chance", the Democrats lose much of their strategic advantage.
