Since Al Gore is pitifully unoriginal, boring or just plain pathetic ... I suspect he is getting his cue from the Germany situation. In Germany they don't want to be involved in what they perceive as a U.S. problem. Gore is echoing a similar response with his pacifist stance and making the U.S. look like the terrorist. Gore wants to put his head in the sand and be divisive. I guarantee you , he hates George Bush with a passion.

"We've squandered that, and in one year we've replaced that with fear, anxiety and uncertainty, not at what the terrorists are going to do but at what we are going to do."
Translation: Now they respect us and don't dare screw with us.
