Isn't Gore's voice and speaking style getting more and more odd with time? The tonal quality of his voice is peculiar, sort of like he's speaking through cotton or something. He also seems to have what I can only call a near lisp. His speaking cadence just gets worse and worse — a sort of halting sing-song. I don't know how a sing-song cadence can be halting, but he manages it. It's almost like he's plugged into a power source that cuts out intermittently. When it cuts out, his vocal energy starts to fall off; when it cuts in, he gets recharged. Then, when you throw in his dripping condescension, he's impossible to listen to — at least for me to listen to for longer than a few moments. I don't know how anyone can take the guy seriously. He's one truly weird dude.
