I don't really care what people claim to be when it comes to answering a question on a census form. To quote Robert Bork in one of his best-selling books: "Americans may assert that they are religious people, but religious values do not inform their moral decisions any longer."
If the U.S. were truly a Chrisitian nation, Al Gore would have received about 10% of the popular vote in the 2000 election.

AC I have no quarrel w/ you... my original point was the expansion of Islam as the dominant religion in America (also the stated goal of the Islamists) will garantee religious freedoms will perish. And that means those ppl that are observant Christians (or Jews, ect...)will brutally oppressed by Muslims who don't recognize plurality in their Islamic states.

You are absolutely correct: not only Gore would have recieved only a few votes but Clinton would've been thrown out as well, provided that Cristians and Jews in this country adhered to the fundamental values of their faiths.
