Sealey,...admitted to using gasoline to burn her 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier in her driveway and to painting a racial epithet on a metal garage door.

In exchange for her plea, the government agreed to drop one count of using a firearm to commit a felony.

I saw gasoline, I saw spray paint, but WHERE DID SHE USE A FIREARM???

Don't get me wrong, I don't like what she did. But was this a bogus charge used to coerce a guilty plea? If so, such tactics won't stop with her, rest assured.

I think it's a typo.

A Front Page Magazine story from 2001 says:

Woman Charged with Faking Hate Crimes

Sealey, 33, faces four counts of mail fraud, three counts of wire fraud, two counts of making false statements to federal authorities and one count of using fire to commit a felony, according to the indictment filed in Charlotte.
