As a TV producer it tells me they are positioning themselves to be on air during the night, (Bagdad Time) and already have everything in place to cover what they expect to be a very short war.

So now this "war" is being treated as nothing more than a television production.

If anyone had any doubt that we are constantly being manipulated by our government and its media flacks . . .

In a democracy; the will of the people detemine the goverment's agenda and who is elected. Most people (ie. non-freepers) are incredibly stupid, and have a memory shorter than that of a goldfish. As proof, please note that I am certain that the idiots driving on the roads are non-freepers. We remember things, hold people accountable, are smart, very attractive, clean, and thus are impeccable drivers.

In that same vein, by using the news to keep people 'caught up' and active, GW is showing that the Republicans do what they say, and have a plan. Hopefully, a few of the idiots who have previously voted Dem, will think before voting again.

I honestly believe that if NO television news coverage was available, this war would go on, regardless.

We are constantly being manipulated by our government and it's media flacks! That's why it's so very important for all of us to learn to read between the lines.

Not only that but the war has been scheduled for "sweeps week." Now if only the war could kick off on a Sunday night, The Sopranos over on HBO will get mauled.

They have to cover teh war; I don't understand what is so offensive about getting ready to have videos and reporters on site.
