Those two 'rats that called the Prez a liar in Iraq really got to me. They, of course, have a right to say it, but, could have had the decency to wait 'til they got back home.

To quote an old book I read "None Dare Call It Treason"!!!!

An outrage. They have violated their oath of office.

BACKGROUND
At the start of each new Congress, in January of every odd-numbered year, the entire House of Representatives and one-third of the Senate performs a solemn and festive constitutional rite that is as old as the Republic......taking the Oath of Office.

While the oath-taking dates back to the First Congress in 1789, the current oath is a product of the 1860s, drafted by Civil War-era members of Congress intent on ensnaring traitors.

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God."

Built Upon A Rock

America was built upon a rock,
not upon the shifting sand,
but, there are pebbles
in this blessed land

While we do not all agree
we are fortunate to be free
to express ourselves as we choose,
most are gracious when they lose

The pebbles would disrupt
drinking from a bitter cup
never lifting their Spirits up
choosing to be corrupt

Revealing they have no shame
eager to lay the blame
when their ideas fail,
it’s others they try to nail

I listen to them in wonder,
never owning up to their blunders
it’s not just one group,
there are many in the loop

They truly have no Soul
they never see the light
they spew what is old
creators of soulless blight

Oh yes, they do have passion
that is well rehearsed
as they read from their tired old verse
they even have fire,
as they lead us into the mire

They visit enemy lands
giving comfort and aid,
treachery by their hands,
perhaps they were paid?

Who are these people that rule
are they elected by fools?
from under what rock do they rise
why do they win the prize?

If this continues
we are in trouble
being ruled by minnows
will burst America’s bubble

"America’s bubble"

I like the poem, but believe the ending is unworthy...America's Greatness is not a bubble, but more of a Manifest Destiny, a veritable juggernaut!!

How 'bout gettin' them LeftistMinnows to try and burst America's juggernaut?!!

David Limbaugh's "The Dems' Embarrassing Cast of Characters!!"

"It wasn't three outcast members of some left-wing fringe group who planted themselves on foreign soil to denounce the United States and suggest that its president would "mislead the American people." It was three Democratic congressmen, including Michigan's David Bonior, the second highest-ranking Democrat in the House. They didn't just go to any foreign country, and they weren't just talking about any old innocuous subject. They went to Iraq, an enemy of the United States, and criticized United States' foreign policy specifically related to Iraq from a script that could have been written by Saddam himself. They did this at the very time the United States is seeking support from other countries for its imminent action against Iraq. All of this is amazing when you think about it. Washington State Congressman Jim McDermott said he believed President Bush was willing "to mislead the American people" about Iraq. "I believe that sometimes they give out misinformation," said McDermott, "... and they've shifted. First they said it was al Qaeda, then they said it was weapons of mass destruction. Now they're going back and saying it's al Qaeda again." McDermott didn't stop at trashing President Bush and America's position. He also gave moral support to Iraq when he insinuated Saddam Hussein's regime could be trusted, on weapons inspections no less, notwithstanding its history of deceit over the past decade."

The "bubble" is not to be taken literally. I am referring to the "American Dream" and what America stands for.

Simply a metaphor, my friend, evidently a bad metaphor. I appreciate your critique' and I am of the opinion that if my writings are not clear, then I have the responsiblity to make changes.

A "bubble" seems so fragile, and I believe the strength of America is not something that can be successfully assailed from without...just within.

Bob Dylan's "What Good Am I?!!"
(To be sung to Bob Dylan's "What Good Am I")

What good am I...if I'm like all the rest?
If I just turn away...when Slick's slaughterin' kids...
If I shut myself off...sit 'n' bitch, moan, and whine...
What...good...am...I?!

'Bout Slick's deal with Beijing...'bout the Dead Slick's thugs shoot?
Should I just drink my beer...forget Slick's TREASON and his LIES?!
Whose...FOOL...am...I?!

What good am I...if I fail to FReep?!
Should I lay down in bed...try to restlessly sleep?
When I've seen Waco pictures...children carelessly FRIED...
What...good...am...I?!

FOLKS, WE MUST MAKE OUR STAND...LET'S DETHRONE WILLIE!!!
Prosecute all Slick's crimes...let's send Bill to Prison!!
