The picture of his foot was probably taken while he was still alive. Looks like they were trying to bandage his leg to stop the bleeding.
He died during our bombings of Al Qaeda and Taliban in Afghanistan.
And, judging from the pictures of others shown in this .swf file, fading in and out, wearing heavy jackets, it's cold there...winter or very high up in the mountains.
I think he is a bin ladin double, at the least he was a friend of bin ladin's.
Well, that's evidently what this web site wants folks to believe, anyway, for whatever purposes. It is considered a virtue to lie to the infidel, don't forget, and the "sight" of dead bodies makes for some powerful propoganda.
I'm telling you that the body you see is not a corpse. Even if he were dead a few minutes, he would be purple and mottled. Lack of oxygen turns human skin bluish purple. Airf temperature doesn't matter.
One more thing. I didn't refer to a bruise above his eye, I referred to a bruise on his eyelid, which is visible because his eyes are closed - another abnormality for a corpse. Do you know why they used to put pennies on corpse's eyes in Shakespeare's time? Because in death, the eyelids have a tendency to remain open. They sometimes have to be sewn shut post.
I reiterate, I do not believe the body shown is dead.
Rigor doesn't usually set in immediately either. Takes a few hours for it to really start.
The way this man's eye area looked after his alleged death helped convince me that this man was dead and the lack of color in his lips. In one of the first few pics, I thought his upper lip looked strangely stiff.
This man lost alot of blood, plus his head was usually higher than his body.
Also, this man's forearms appeared much too big to have been bin ladin's. And yes, I know about the Muslims and their alleged propensity to lie (I did use to live in the Middle East) but one can use different techniques to form a consenus of opinion on a subject and the truth is, I've never had an Arab friend lie to me that I ever caught.
But is this video (series of still pictures put into .swf format) really of a man dying and dead? I don't know but I believe it is real given what I observed, what my friends told me the Arabic said, and some of the things Al Qaeda has video'd that I've seen.

Lividity ( purple, mottled) begins to set in almost immediately, in my experience within minutes. 15 minutes is generous, in my experience, but hey. People who have lost a lot of blood are either blanched (white,) or , before they die, they are ashen ( grey). This body is pink. It is what is described in medical terminology as "pink", ie, perfused, ie , receiving enough oxygenated blood ( color is a very sensitive indicator of oxygenation, except in cases of emphysema, but that's another story.). Where there is extensive blood loss, elevating an extremity will drain it even further of circulating volume, causing the limb to turn ashen. The man's foot is pink. There is plenty of sunlight illumnating the subject; color changes would be immediately obvious. Somethig else. After death, if the head was elevated, it would turn even darker, because the blood would drain out of the head, leaving the tissues telltale blue.This man just wasn't important enough to fake his death for the Americans and our allies.
What makes you think we are the intended target of this propoganda? Could it not just as well be intended to stir up the emotions of Muslims by showing them a martyr's death, no matter how staged?
Summary: This slide show is simply agitprop. This man is not dead. The Minnesota Vikings, otoh.....
Ummm....People, even Islamic people, come in all sorts of skin tones. How do you know he was dark skinned or swarthy before these pictures were take? Assessment of skin color is a skill that develops over time. I have reviewed these photos again and agin, and I simply see too much color in this man's face to convince me that he is not getting oxygen. Frame after frame after frame, I see pink cheeks, not grey cheeks, not purple or blue cheeks, not mottled cheeks, but nice, even colored, pink cheeks.
How do you account for the fact that in the very last frame his lips are shut, whereas in all the others his upper teeth are visible?
The first several pictures show him alive.. then the last pictures show him with a bullet hole in the side of his head. Maybe one of his commrads decided to put him out of his misery and wasn't there something about his sons promising to kill him, rather than have him be taken by the Americans?
Notice eyes are tightly scrunched together in pain. If death occurred right afterward, it would explain a bit about how the eyes could be shut. True that most dead persons' eyes are open at least slightly.
Last few frames near end of 'video' show eyes have slightly opened.

Probably, have always heard wearing a hat makes you go bald.. Maybe they wear turbans to hide their baldness.. No Rogain or Hairclub for men.

Have heard that too. Since they seem to favor lots of hair on their face, wonder if they take their turbans off as often as possible to allow their hair to grow?
The post above that identifies the corpse ... any confirmation on that? Can anybody post a picture of that man when he was alive?
If OBL were dead and TPTB knew it, would they announce it? Is it in the USA's interests to announce it?
TPTB probably know all about this 'video' and who exactly the featured man is and exactly his status ... you think?
Of course there are various hilarious FReepers who can do anything with any picture.
A side-to-side comparison, not doctored, would be instructive, as would a teeth comparison.
It is a good idea to maintain respect for the dead. Trying here to ascertain the probability of whether this could be OBL or another high-ranking jihater.
We're not sure yet either way. We see many dead persons that remain pale without mottling. Also fully aware that the 'video' and pictures could be a staged hoax.
But war is real and ugly and tragic. Death and pain and suffering are terrible in war. The jihaters should have learned this by now ...
Even that's not certain. Those look much more like small-arms fire wounds, more likely from a distance rather than from close up. And it could have as easily been from the fighting in Chechnya as in Afghanistan....
