More empty headed drivel will not protect our nation or our people.

More insults and still not facts - no concrete linkage between Hussein and 9/11.

I, a conserviate and historically a hawk, remain unconvinced and unimpressed.

Well we can't have that. I guess everything is on hold until the "conservative hawk" is convinced and impressed.

Pardon my rant, but I sincerely want to make an important point, which is this. Despite the fact that there ARE a growing number of clues to cooperation and past logistic aid by Hussein to the Al Quaeda, this is not the issue. Hussein and his terrorist regime was and is a threat to the United States... by his and their own right. Bin Laden is hardly the inventor of terrorism, and was not the first to attack the United States. Our interests and nationals have been under terrorist attack for decades, by terrorists supported by Iran, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Sudan, Afghanistan under the Taliban, Yemen, and Lebanon. Saddam Hussein's involvement in the 1993 bombing of the WTC is clear. More evidence of Iraqi involvement in the OK City bombing is coming to light. The distinctions made between the various shadowy elements of Islamic terrorism are largely pundit talk. There are no walls between these groups, and they do what the need to do to carry out their agenda of murder and destruction. We should not count on the dependability of past wisdom regarding the assumed "gulf" or "rift" between the fundamentalist Bin Laden and the secular tyrant Hussein. To do so is to set ourselves up to be blind sided and to offer that very channel for use in attacks against the United States. Contingency plans must be based on the potential of a threat, and not wishful thinking.
