Sept. 28th 2002 Sawgrass Rebellion Report From Northern california: SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA CONVOY MEETING IN SANTA CRUZ:

SANTA CRUZ : today liberty loving patriots meet to stage a Rally at Liberty Park. Sponsored by Mmike Shaw: Freedom 21 Santa Cruz at www.freedom21santacruz.net, the rally included guest speakers from Southern California's Mountain Coalition "How much is enough"; a property rights group lead by Dick Bergeron.

Property rights issues affect all American people. Farmers loose their homes, and family multi generational farm lands; the greater American public looses it's local food base source, as more and more food is imported from foreign sources, that are often not as enviromeantally conscience as our American farmers! The inner city citizen faces Eminent Domain abuses as thier neighbor hoods are turned into urban housing and redevelopment hubs for government propelled crack houses. And so it goes in the New America where "restructuring" is the new trendy catch phrase!

CALIFORNIA NORTH COAST CONVOY:

Starting in the world famous heart of the wine country, in Calistoga (Napa County) , the North Calif Coast Sawgrass Convoy departed fully decorated with liberty bells, American flags and "No Land Grab" signs. Heading to Santa Rosa (Sonoma County) the Convoy stopped for 30 minutes to display Article 5, The Bill of Rights banners, a "Don't tread on me flag", and the Calif North Coast Convoy moving "bill board". heading South on Hwy 101, the Convoy stopped in Petaluma for 30 minutes to display banners, and talk with local people about the need for community education concerning the UN bio-zones and the claws dung into the neck of every property owner in this Nation.

TRACY CALIF SAWGRASS CONVOY-RALLY:

The Klamath Basin (Oregon) Bucket and Shovel and Brigade converged with the Southern Calif. and North Coast Calif. convoys prior to entering Tracy. Lead by a Model A truck from the Tracy car club and a 1960's Cadillac convertible decorated with red, white and blue banners, the convoy containing about 10 vehicles drove around Tracy displaying the large Bucket ( 8 foot tall x 7 foot wide) and Shovel (6 feet tall x 20 long handle) symbols.

Meeting at a local Park and Ride (car pool meeting spot) along Hwy 205 in Tracy, Sharon Votaw with the Tracy Land and Water Alliance organized the rally that welcomed about 50 people who gathered to hear Bill Ransom Chair of the Bucket Brigade from Klamath Oregon; Dick Bergeron S. Calif Mountian Coalition; Grant Gerber Wagon Master; Leo Bergeron President of Calif State Grange ( Family Farm organization); Mike Shaw from Freedom21Santa Cruz; Dave Jenest Sacramento host welcoming the Sawgrass Convoy to the Capitol city with a, "Ya'll come back now "; Irene Sundberg from the Tracy City Planning Commission supporting the Sawgrass Rebellion and the defense of our 5th Amendment property rights, and Reinhold (Ron) Gulke American Independent party candidate running for California State Governor against the infamous Grey Davis (Democrat), and his opponent Republican Bill Simon.

Music reflecting principals of liberty and justice were played; the Tracy FFA youth supplied a booth for refreshments, and the Tracy Land and Water Alliance supplied a water booth.

Grant Gerber ( Wagon master), is serving a dual purpose this year, providing the Sawgrass with legal counsel presence, as well as acting as Chief Auctioneer. Items auctioned included an original shovel from the Jarbridge Shovel Brigade used to open up the closed road, a homemade quilt, a 1 once gold bar donated by Nevada State Minors; and a symbolic bucket signed by water rights participants in Klamath Falls Oregon. Donated auction items collected at Tracy will be taken on the trip to Florida to be auctioned off along the way. Taking the donated items to other states, helps to foster an appreciation for the struggles faced by property owners across this great land, and helps to remind us that "united we stand, divided we fall"!
