Should the Decatur City Council enact the proposed sexual orientation code?
TOPICS: Activism/Chapters; Culture/Society; Government; US: Illinois
KEYWORDS: discrimination; homosexual; sexualorientation
The city of Decatur, IL is considering passing an ordinance to prohibit businesses, landlords, etc. from discriminating based on "sexual orientation".
The poll is on the web page of the local "conservative" radio host, who frequently supports the homosexual community.
The poll is on his web page at http://www.brianbyers.com on the upper left side.
Vote no to support the businesses that will be hurt if this passes.
Thanks in advance.

It was 127 yes 116 no when I found out about it - I understand the local gay rights activist have been spreading the word on their end.

Very strange -- I voted no only to be told that I had already voted -- not true. Looks like fixed poll to me.

Their server has some gizmo that supposedly only accepts 1 vote from each ip address - not sure how it works, i tried deleting cookies but i could only vote once
It wouldn't surprise me if it was fixed, though.
