HARRISBURG For Pennsylvanians who want to vote in the November election but have not registered, today is the deadline to register.
Registration forms must be filed at county courthouses or mailed and postmarked by today.
"You're taking your chances if you wait until the last minute," said Richard Filling, commissioner of the state Bureau of Elections and Legislation.
Voters can obtain registration forms at courthouses and some post offices and other public places. A blank form can also be downloaded from the Department of State's Web site, Filling said.
On Nov. 5, voters will elect a new governor and fill 19 seats in the U.S. House of Representatives and 228 seats in the state General Assembly.

I feel so lonely. I think I'm the only Republican in this whole damb county. It also happens to be the most depressed county in PA. Wonder if I could make a run for it and register in Westmoreland and Allegheny Counties too....
Yeah. I know. That ain't kosher.

This kills me! Everybody is bitching about Fisher being a lousy campaigner, but in Republican Delaware County, I see more Rendell signs than Fisher signs. The so-called Republican machine in Delco could use a good grease job. Nobody is doing anything for Fisher.I was talking to State Re[. Steve Barrar on Saturday. He told me that he suggested to major GOP Delco leaders that all GOP committee women join the League of Women Voters in Delco and take it over. He got a lukewarm response. We need people who will put some effort into the job.

I've been thinking about switching registrations from MISC to DEMOCRAT so I can harrass the rats when they call.
Hey, if Rendell wins I'm gonna havta take my fun where I can.

Republicans should WRITE A LETTER TO THE EDITOR, which can be very effective and influence the undecided.

Have you registered everyone in your family? I AM my family...at least here, but all my brothers are registered, all military, all Repubs.

Registration forms must be filed at county courthouses or mailed and postmarked by today. Don't worry if you're late. It's just an arbitrary deadline.

Have you registered everyone in your family? I've done just the opposite. I married into a democrat family and when my step-son said in 2000 that he had not re-registered and thus could not vote, I did not tell him that that his name was still on the roster below mine (he was going to vote for Gore). He just moved and I just didn't get around to reminding him that he had to re-register in his new district:) My duaghter, OTOH, turns 18 later this winter, sadly not in time for next month's elections. But she has proudly announced to the men in the family that she's coming of age and she's going to vote Republican! Proud mom here:) Bring up a child in the way they should go, and you get a Republican voter:)

If you are a Republican, better meet the deadline. If you are Democrat, it doesn't matter; you might not ever need to be a resideent of PA or alive.
