President Bush hosted a White House Event for Hispanic Heritage Month today, honoring the many Hispanic Americans who have contributed to the success of the country. Bush was joined by many famous Hispanic Americans, including several baseball players- including Pudge Rodriguez, Rafael Palmeiro, Nomar Garciaparra and Rod Carew. The President also met with leading congressional Republicans and sharply criticized Senate Democrats for blocking appeals court nominees, Bush spoke with Republican senators to discuss how to break the logjam. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

QUOTE OF THE DAY: There is no question in my mind, because of our strength, diversity, because of the values we hold, that we will be a stronger and more compassionate and better nation.

Whoa, get a load of that tie! And it sure looks like he got his ears lowered (hair cut). Someone mentioned the other night that it looked slicked down. I think it was just cut to where it doesn't stick up so much; maybe got thinned out a bit.

Yowsers! Strom is beginning to look cadaverous! But, God Bless Him, he's still hanging in there for us. I love that Dubya picked up the discussion about judicial appointments. Strom was really getting on Biden's case the other day about it, saying Biden lied to him about bringing up one of Strom's former aides for a vote on a Judicial post. Well, Strom, what did you expect from such a committed Dem!?
