I was just over at LP and had to set them straight there. There were saying that all the monthly donators had abandoned the forum because only $1,500 out of $18,000 in monthlies had renewed or something like that. So I told them that the reason this was so was that we were TOLD by Free Republic not to renew until the 20th of October because our September payments were already processed.
I think it was a very considerate thing for Free Republic to tell us monthly donators to hold off on renewing under the new system so that we didn't make a double payment.
It certainly was a very successful fundraiser. I commend you all.
For those who think it took a lot of days, 12 days is a very repectful accomplishment. We had many Freepathons that took 18 days to raise less money. We were spoiled by the lightening fast December 2001 effort, and March and June of this year were pretty fast too (9 or 10 days).
I am sure their are many folks who re-upped their monthly without informing me. If you did re-up, please Freepmail me or E-Mail me
Badjoe@socal.rr.com and tell me you did it.
Otherwise I need to e-mail everyone in the monthly file and remind them that for their monthly to continue they need to go re-up on the new system.
There are currently 311 Freepers and Lurkers, representing $5,400++ in monthlies that to my knowledge have not been converted.
