My view is that the more in-your-face disgusting our society gets, the harder it gets for the moderate Muslims who don't hate the West to win support among their own people.

For some, that's true. But there was not the same kind of hatred toward us back in the days when we could let our own children watch everything that was on TV. Now, our culture is too disgusting even for large number of us.
