The details on the incident haven't been reported much yet but it sounds like there was a neighborhood street celebration that Lautenberg attended to press the palms of voters; show he "cares".

Donald Forrester also showed up (I don't know if his appearance had also been announced). He showed up with 2 podiums so that they could debate (responding to Lautenberg's claim that he would debate "any time - any place"). Put him on the spot so to speak.

If the left is going to applaud Micheal Moore for doing drive by interviews of celebrities and workers, why not have a politician do a drive by debate?

Lautenberg needs to get control of his frustrations........This could lead to a HEART ATTACK or STROKE...........considering his age and his anger.......but then, NJ Democraps could put in the politician of their choice.......Probably enlist the Crook, Torrisilly again!!

Dear Alissa: The Democratic Party, many years ago, used to be a decent party. Can you explain where they went wrong. As a Republican, those many years ago, I considered all sides when thinking about voting. Today, particularly after the Clinton adminstration and watching the Democratic controlled Senate, frankly I think they are all crazy people who are intent on destroying Amerca. Why?

"I'm old and I'm not happy! In my day, we didn't have HAIR-dryers...we'd walk outside in a hurricane with a good gust of wind, and fence timbers would shoot through your head and we we'd walk around like crazy people with our head-kabobs! But that's the way it was and ya loved it!"

Isn't there a NJ law against waving them 'finger guns' around?

I'd say judging by these pics, I've seen around 8 assault felonies.

you read my mind! and Luatenberg acts as about as looney as Mr neilson in 'naked gun' ... maybe they need to do a spoof with him as a Senator.

I think I agree with the common belief - if Laut wins, he will resign and the Gov will appoint somebody else. Who that will be is anybody's guess?

If A lIBERAL does it, it is called 'innovative', if a Conservative or Republican does it, it will be called 'desperate'.

any attempt to actually gain political traction out of the fact that your opponet is over-the-hill, out-of-touch and unwilling to face his opponent in a real debate by republicans is a 'desparate attempt to get back in the race'.

He looks like "The Major" from the TV show "Soap"...minus the uniform. Doesn't look any more sane than the Major either.
