Ouch. That's undeniable. But in both cases, they were massive underdogs prior to the nominating conventions, anyway.
So maybe short names are no guarantee of success; after all, we've had two Presidents named Roosevelt, and one named Eisenhower.
But the tickets where both candidates had 4-letter names all lost!
2004: BUSH/(Fill in my last name, which has five letters...after Condi and
I take the plunge).
Come on...it's a joke...
