Had the great privilege to attend the air show at Miramar Navel Air Station in San Diego this weekend. Wall to wall armed Marines with MP's M16A2's slung and 45's, and hardware as far as the eye could see. F14's, F15's, F16'S, and (Blue Angel) F18's breaking the sound barrier right in front of the grand stands. Old B17's, Corsairs, Apache attack helicoptors and Blackhawks.
Outside of all that, the full combat bombing and Recon extraction exercise—with accompanying explosions that looked close to twenty stories high—we were in hog heaven.
Ask any one of those young Marines if they were ready and willing to deploy overseas, you'd only get one answer—immediately and in the affirmative
