This man should be a Republican ... he has more balls than most of the entire Senate!

I have to say that I've been more than pleasantly surprised with Zell Miller's senatorial career thus far.

Granted, I'm sure I'm not as politically savvy as others on this site; however, it seems he has voted and acted in a conservative manner and has been very supportive of the president.

I only wish we could get similar results from our other senator. Maybe, if we elect Saxby Chambliss we can!

P.S. Simply contributing to McKinney's opponent Majette's campaign was enough to win my approval.

I wish that you had posted a source for this, but it sounds like vintage Zell...

Like many other Georgians, I was angry with our hillbilly governor (Roy Barnes) for appointing a Democrat to fill a Senate seat into which the voters had installed a Republican. But Barnes' blatant partisanship aside, I (like many other conservative Georgians) have been very pleased with Zell. He does not toe the party line, unlike any other of his 533 lying colleagues.

I just wish that he could call out the real culprit more openly: Tom Daschle is overtly choosing labor unions over national security, and yes, I do question his patriotism over this. I hope that Zell is right, that the Democrats will pay for this. Combine this with what the Clintons (who rule the Democrat party with an iron fist stuck up the rectum of the McAulliffe sock puppet) are doing and it may take years for the Social Democrats to recover.

Great speech! And Saxby is indeed running a TV ad in Georgia pointing out that Max Cleland took $ from the unions and then voted AGAINST President Bush (and Zell).....
I wonder how Zell feels when he has to turn up and campaign for Max?????
