On another thread from yesterday, Jim Robinson said he and John were aware of the problem (re: access and slow response)and were working on it. As of that writing, the exact problem had not been identified.

Yes, access is either very slow ( I have dial ups on laptops that access other sites faster...) or rudely slow.
Ordinarily it would be blamed on being out here in the middle of the Pacific, but since you brought it up...

YES and it's beyond irritating. I've got to find somewhere else to watch election returns and posts. This will make me crazy on election night.

Very, very slow. Timing out on my system. Unusable. Took me three attempts to reply to your post.
I dropped a letter in the mail to them about it. Figure that will get there faster than a message through the site.
Hope they fix it.

Ah-HA!! So it's not just me and my fancy new laptop (Fujitsu 2111 C-series "Lifebook") or my cousins molasses slow dialup line. (Boy do I miss my old cable modem ISP)
Is this a leftwind (whoops, typo), I mean leftwing (hard leftwing, "extreme leftwing") denial of service hack attack? They hate us you know. (Is there anybody that they really like? Besides the Clinton's)
Is anybody else out there depressed about the current political climate of hate and denial of reality from the left wing and other world citizens or is it just me. Why do so many people in this country hate their own country and civilization?

Is FR under DoS attack? The problem with slow access has been there for several days. It starts around 11:00 AM EST and goes away around mid-afternoon. I am suspicious that there are sinister things going on. Drudge doesn't seem to have any problems.

OH Yes, It's taken over 4 minutes to make this post. Let alone accessing the web site. That was another 2-3 minutes. When I access late at night 1-2am it is somewhat better. I hope FR hasn't outgrown itself.
