We need to start calling gun ownership "Pro Choice." Really mess with their heads. I'm pro choice. I choose Glock.

The twisting of Scripture for various ends has a long history. This is nothing particularly new -- it's just another example of human pridefulness.

"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be" (Psalm 139:13-16).

6.1 When Does Life Begin ?

Beginnings are ofen difficult to pinpoint, particularly in life cycles, for life is continuous. Nevertheless, each individual life has two discrete boundaries: fertilization and death. Sperm cells and egg cells are not capable of starting an independent life on their own. Once released from the testes or the ovary, the lifetime of sperm cells and egg cells is restricted to a few minutes or hours. Only the fusion of sperm and egg results in a cell with the potential to survive and to give rise to an independent individual as well as to a new generation. In biological terms, a human is a human from fertilization until death. No stage can be omitted, no nonhuman stage can be defined.
